After an unsuccessful migration in Wordpress, Sama approached us to create a more robust and easily scalable website that the sales and marketing team could use, along with the request to create a new design that better fit the corporate image of the company for more than 500 pages.
Sama specializes as a training-data firm, primarily dedicated to annotating data for artificial intelligence algorithms. Their services include providing image, video, and sensor data annotation and validation to support machine learning algorithms across various industries. These industries range from automotive and navigation to augmented reality, virtual reality, biotechnology, agriculture, manufacturing, and e-commerce.
The numerous bugs on the website, along with the numerous plugins, complexity, and poor UX of their previous CMS on their Wordpress site, greatly hindered the task of using and expanding it, requiring a lot of time and making very basic tasks such as creating blog articles or new landing pages very difficult.
After an extensive analysis of Sama's sitemap and content, as well as their needs in terms of content creation and brand image, we created systems in Figma and Webflow that would facilitate the content creation task for Sama's marketing and sales team. Along with the creation of new components, animations, and illustrations, and an extensive migration of the CMS from Wordpress to Webflow, we enabled Sama to better convey its brand image, offerings, and increase conversions without the need for plugins or external tools.
The process involved the ideation of an optimized sitemap, coupled with consulting on the creative direction for the website, the creation of a complete design system in Figma, custom illustrations based on Sama's software, the development of a system in Webflow, and the migration of a full CMS from Wordpress to Webflow. This was for a total of over 500 pages, both static and dynamic (CMS). Additionally, tutorials were created to ensure the Sama team's complete ownership of the website.
In this initial phase, we defined, together with the Sama team, the fundamental aspects in terms of UI that the website should have, reviewing their new branding, software, and examples of pioneering and leading websites in the sector. Along with key aspects to achieve good UX and structure, based on the sitemap we had previously created and optimized.
After defining the key objectives in terms of UX, UI, and web structure, we developed a comprehensive design system in Figma, complete with numerous custom components and illustrations. This allowed us to create over 50 unique pages with maximum uniformity in the website's UI and great scalability for creating more landing pages in the future.
We developed the new Sama website using Webflow, focusing on achieving maximum consistency, optimization, and scalability. Additionally, we implemented an easy-to-use Content Management System, featuring over 30 distinct collections and encompassing over 500 pages, both static and dynamic. This grants the Sama team full control over the website's management.
