Marketing leaders have issues tracking the phone call conversions their campaigns drive. This leaves them unable to prove their full ROI and defend their budgets. It can also lead to them making suboptimal campaign optimization decisions. Contact center managers have issues QAing all of their agents' calls and scoring them fairly. Most only score about 2% of calls, and Invoca’s solution uses AI to automatically score 100% of calls for them according to their criteria. Prospects aren't fully aware that they need the solution. CMOs don't realize they have a gap for phone call attribution. Because of these problems, Invoca wanted to increase these top-level metrics YoY: organic sessions, engaged organic sessions, organic assisted conversions, and stage-one opportunities from organic search.

Solution

Starting on our Growth package, we quickly examined Invoca’s total searchable market of keyword topics, analyzed their competitors' best-performing content types, provided a strategy to facilitate significant organic growth in an accelerated timeline, then executed that strategy by crawling, indexation, and enhancing user experience site-wide. Since launching the project, 34 unique, highly relevant referring domain links have been created. A comprehensive SEO strategy was developed and executed to enhance Invoca's search engine visibility, conversions, and revenue. A full technical audit was conducted to identify issues affecting SEO performance, and a conversion rate optimization audit provided valuable UX recommendations. Using this information, a strategy was developed to map commercial pages to focus keywords. Detailed briefs were created to enhance commercial page performance, along with blog briefs to support the creation of high-ranking educational content. Backlinks were built with high-authority websites to boost the rankings of key pages. Ongoing measurement and performance reports were consistently shared to keep internal stakeholders on the client side informed.

Before the project began we performed extensive keyword research to understand Invoca’s total searchable market, what competitors were doing to effectively rank for hundreds of thousands of keywords, and to loosely understand what on-site opportunities Invoca had that we would have to address.

These on-site challenges are things such as technical issues, user experience improvements, and indexation.

Plan

Creative Direction

After we had a clear picture of the market landscape and unique opportunities we would be working on we proposed to build out 4 links per month and build a quarterly content calendar with content outlines, recommendations, and suggestions on how to rank higher with more relevancy. This plan focused on mapping out intent and keyword topics to all content types on the site, alleviating technical bottlenecks, keeping certain content from ranking as effectively as it could, and actively improving the structure of the site.

Immediately upon the project starting we met with the client for our initial strategy discussion where we aligned on content creation, website architecture changes, blog content creation targets and prioritization, and link-building target approval.

After this call, we hit the ground running on all fronts, collaborating with the client's SEO manager to finalize content and rapidly implement technical improvements sitewide to immediately start growth, as well as start link-building outreach on our end.

Within the first two months, we had articles published, links live, technical and user experience improvements underway, and were already actively pushing keyword improvements!

Development

Constant iteration in a project of this magnitude is essential. We constantly examined and analyzed our progression to see where we were having the most efficient growth, and doubled down in those areas.

Our content production and link-building steadily improved, and we continued to improve pages from a technical and keyword-targeting perspective. We built, improved, and revised commercial landing pages covering their core product offerings, and aligned our page optimization recommendations with the types of content we knew drove the most revenue through organic search.
